MECHANICAL & INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS
Food processing systems, engineered around your operation
ARM Engineering designs and specifies food processing systems for manufacturers across Australia and New Zealand, supporting projects from the earliest concept through to installation, commissioning and aftercare.
Food Processing Systems Engineering
From an initial idea to a working production system
As an authorised KARL SCHNELL representative, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and industrial engineering solutions.
Introducing new processing equipment involves far more than selecting a machine.
The equipment needs to suit your product, production targets, facility, existing systems and long-term plans. It also needs to integrate successfully with machinery and services supplied by other project partners.
ARM Engineering works alongside your engineering and production teams throughout the project. We help define the process, specify the right equipment, prepare the technical documentation and coordinate the details required to turn a concept into a reliable production system.

Our projects often span more than a year, allowing us to provide continuity from the early planning stages through to commissioning, installation and ongoing support.
What We Do
How ARM Engineering supports your project
01
Process and system design
Through consultation and stakeholder engagement, we help develop the process concept from your vision and design a system around the product, output and operational goals.
02
Equipment specification
ARM Engineering offer KARL SCHNELL food processing options for consideration. However, a process is more than just the equipment elements, and we work to integrate with existing lines and constraints.
03
Technical documentation
We prepare the technical documentation required to plan, coordinate and deliver the project, including industrial services, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), layouts and installation requirements.
04
Project engineering support
We work with your internal teams, contractors and other equipment suppliers to coordinate interfaces, identify technical requirements and identify issues to be resolved.
05
Installation and commissioning
ARM Engineering offer support to your installation teams through testing and commissioning of the equipment, helping ensure the system operates as intended before it is handed over to production.
06
Post commissioning and reliability support
Our involvement does not necessarily end when production begins. We provide OEM spare parts and technical support for systems and equipment we have supplied.

Quality
Health and safety
Senior management
We know that engineering teams need accurate technical information, production managers need dependable performance, and senior stakeholders need confidence that the proposed system supports the wider business case.
When To Reach Out
Supporting new processes and production upgrades
Customers generally contact ARM Engineering when they are:
Introducing a new product or process
Increasing production capacity
Improving product consistency
Replacing ageing equipment
Automating part of their operation
Redesigning an existing processing line
Expanding or developing a manufacturing facility
Looking for specialist KARL SCHNELL equipment and expertise
Involving ARM early allows important decisions to be considered before equipment is ordered or layouts are finalised. We help manufacturers reduce avoidable changes, integration issues and delays later in the project.
Our Methodology
A considered approach to every project
1
Understand
We begin by learning about the product, existing operation, production requirements and reason for the upgrade.
2
Develop the concept
We help establish the proposed process and identify the equipment, capacity and system requirements.
3
Design and specify
We develop the processing solution, specify the machinery and prepare the technical information required for the project.
4
Coordinate
We work with your team, contractors and other suppliers to coordinate the equipment and process interfaces.
5
Install and commission
We support the installation and commissioning of the equipment and help prepare the system for production.
6
Support
After commissioning, we remain available to provide technical advice and aftercare for the systems we have delivered.
Flexible Delivery
Mechanical Engineering and industrial support, online and on site
Food processing projects require both detailed technical planning and practical involvement on the factory floor.
ARM Engineering can provide online support throughout the design and coordination stages, alongside on-site assistance when physical inspections, installation support and commissioning are required.
This flexible approach allows us to remain closely involved throughout projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Leadership
Experience you can rely on
Established in 1999, ARM Engineering is led by Andrew Marston, who has extensive experience in food manufacturing, process engineering and industrial equipment projects. His Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science (Physics) are the cornerstones of his skills. Andrew is a professional member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) and Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) and is fluent in both English and German.
His understanding of food production environments allows ARM to look beyond the individual machine and consider the wider process — product requirements, production targets, equipment integration, production and maintenance access, supply of industrial services, hygiene and cleanability, and long-term multiple-shift operation.
Andrew places a strong emphasis on collaboration with clients to ensure their needs are met and supported with robust and efficient outcomes.
